Job Details
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Backend Sales Executive to support the front-end sales team in proposal creation, quotation management, order processing, tender documentation, and client coordination. This role is critical for ensuring smooth internal workflows, accurate documentation, and timely responses to client and tender requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
- Assist in compiling tender documents (technical & commercial) for submissions on platforms like GeM, CPPP, and state procurement portals.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and meets compliance standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments (operations, procurement, accounts) for order execution.
- Manage post-sale activities including order tracking, invoice follow-up, and client updates.
- Maintain records of client interactions, sales activities, and contracts.
- Update and maintain customer data and sales pipeline in CRM tools or Excel trackers.
- Generate reports on sales activities, follow-ups, and revenue forecasts for the management team.
- Respond to inbound inquiries via email/phone and share quotations or catalogs.
- Follow up with clients for pending documentation, payments, or feedback.
- Provide backend support to the field sales team and assist with meeting preparation.
Skill & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in backend/inside sales, preferably in IT services, hardware, or government projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
- Good communication skills (written & verbal).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and coordination skills.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience supporting GeM sales or tender documentation is a plus.
Familiarity with government or enterprise sales cycles.
Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
