We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Installation Technical Support Engineer to handle the installation, configuration, and technical support of IT systems, hardware, and software at client sites. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on-site, resolving client issues post-installation, and ensuring optimal performance and functionality of deployed systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test hardware, software, network components, or AV/IT systems at client locations.
  • Ensure proper functioning of installed systems and complete post-installation verification.
  • Work with system integrators, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for issues related to installations, connectivity, or performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues during or after installations.
  • Coordinate with backend support teams for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.
  • Create and submit installation checklists, service reports, and feedback documentation.
  • Update client records and ticketing systems post-deployment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients before, during, and after installations.
  • Conduct site readiness assessments and verify compliance with system prerequisites.
  • Educate clients on basic system operation and provide user handover/training when necessary.

Skill & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in on-site installations or technical support.
  • Solid understanding of IT hardware, basic networking (LAN/WAN, routers, switches), and system configuration.
  • Experience installing and supporting software or hardware such as:
  • Servers, desktops, network devices, AV systems (if applicable)
  • Biometric, security, or access control systems (if applicable)
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing platforms.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.

Preferred (not mandatory):

• Experience with enterprise installations or system integrator environments.
• Knowledge of GeM/government project deployments.
• Basic certifications: CompTIA A+/N+, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, or similar.
